The Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification consists of four hours of training. The White Belt is offered to provide an overview of Lean and Six Sigma. This Belt offers the participant a basic understanding of the tools and techniques used in Lean and Six Sigma and is a good start toward the professional competencies of the Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, and Master Black Belt. After obtaining this first level belt, participants are qualified to act as team members in a Green Belt or Black Belt project. After completing the course, participants will have an introductory understanding of:
Lean and Six Sigma principals
The Structure of Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC)
How to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) processes
Techniques used to minimize waste and resources while increasing customer satisfaction
This overview is perfect for:
Leaders considering a Lean and/or Six Sigma strategy for their organization
Departments or organizations that have been charged with implementation but need a basic understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma
Managers or organizations interested in investigating options for productivity improvement, performance enhancement and organizational change.
This program is also great as a primer for potentially every employee in the organization to understand the Lean and/or Six Sigma journey that their company is embarking on.
Yellow Belt - 2 Day Course
The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification consists of two days of training with certificate issued upon successful completion of the course. The training offers an understanding of the basic methodologies used in Lean Six Sigma. The training covers improvement techniques and required metrics at a basic level. For most organizations, a Yellow Belt is an individual that is a core team member on a single project or multiple projects and has specific subject matter expertise. This course gives participants a greater knowledge of process improvement principals through an introduction of process management. Students are also familiarized with the basic tools of Lean Six Sigma. The intent of the training is to provide individuals with the tools needed to be a valuable project team member and a contributor to meeting the organization’s goals and objectives.
Yellow Belt Certification will develop:
The proficiency of personnel as Lean Six Sigma supporters
The acceptance of Lean Six Sigma as a benefit to employees and the company
A better understanding of daily tasks that will translate into better quality, reduced waste, and improved cycle times
Yellow Belts play an important support role in the Lean Six Sigma process. Yellow Belts are tasked with gathering accurate data and sharing their expertise in the problem-solving process. Their understanding of the process is a vital part of improvement methodology. Yellow Belts are skilled at identifying, controlling, and monitoring potential improvement opportunities and reporting this information to the Green Belts and Black Belts within the organization.

Green Belt - 5 Day Course
The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training consists of 5 days of classroom training with project assignment and follow-up. Participants will be provided with a general overview of Lean Six Sigma and enhance their technical problem solving skills through a more detailed review of the DMAIC processes. Participants will take away strategies to help successfully lead small scale improvement projects within their company.
Green Belt Training will focus on Lean Six Sigma's five-phase DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) model. In-class exercises are used in combination with lecture, breakout sessions and hands-on practice. Green Belt Certification is awarded upon successfully completing this course and one process improvement project identified and approved by a manager or executive from the student's organization. Instructors will provide consultation on projects and schedule a two hour onsite follow-up with the client.
