This 5-day course is intended for those that wish to sit for the Lean bronze certification. It is taught in three phases.
Phase 1: Consists of the first three days of the course. Students learn the basics of Lean with an in-depth review of the concepts and tools of Lean in preparation for the exam portion of the certification.
Phase 2: Consists of the fourth day of the course. Focuses on the project and portfolio review portion of the certification and includes project and portfolio preparation guidance. This session focuses on giving participants a clear understanding of the expectations for submitting the portfolio review portion of the certification. Participants are given clear expectations for beginning their portfolio for review in the final session of the course.
Phase 3: Consists of the fifth day of the course. Students come to this session with all or part of their portfolio completed. Provides feedback to participants on their portfolio and guides them in making adjustments that will help them achieve higher scores.
Who should attend: Anyone wishing to obtain Lean Bronze certification or obtaining the competencies that are required of the certification.
Upon completion, students will:
· Understand Lean at a tactical level including the use of tools and principals · Have a clear understanding of the process for implementing improvement projects · Be better prepared for sitting for the Lean bronze certification exam · Grasp the expectations for completing the portfolio portion of the Lean bronze certification · Possess test taking skills that will provide benefit during certification exam
